
"Social Aid" Programme for Social Groups Missing Material and Moral Support
This programme aims to provide support and social assistance to persons who have lost material and moral support through social and psychological briefing, provision of basic care through a multidisciplinary team and provision of residential accommodation for this group. The legislative framework is Act No. 74 of 2001 of 11 July 2001 on social welfare centres, in addition to the updated orders for the various centres.
Activities completed:
- The Social Aid Mechanism has been established since 2015. This mechanism consists of a mobile team consisting of a social worker, an educator, a doctor and a nurse who perform night exams on the street for marginalized people who are permanently present on the street and provide medical and ambulance services and provide meals, clothing and coverings.
- Implementation of the programme to combat social exclusion of vulnerable groups in cooperation with the International Social Aid Organization;
- To carry out 02 studies on the effectiveness of expanding the social assistance mechanism in the cities of Sousse and Sfax as part of the implementation of the objectives of the programme to combat social exclusion;
- Completion of the Social Ambulance Reference Manual in French and Arabic,
